gday kids, cheers for the interest in the avo tree, here in the guide that ive been using for it..
the little garden has been a little hit and miss but great experimenting… the beetroot is loving the soil and the basil has finally taken off, but im not quite sure what happened with the coriander.. anyways, hopefully with a couple of weeks i can start using the fresh basil in a few upcoming dishes
the avocado tree has started to take off, if only the weather where i live would be warm enough to produce the fruit…
so not much has been happening with the herb garden. its been over 2 weeks and no sprouts from the seeds. so i have created a greenhouse effect with some gladwrap as i think its been too cold at night, and the seeds have probably not seen as much sun as i wouldve liked. hopefully we will see some action within the week.. suggestions are a welcomed..
alright, so compost is down, potting soil in, and we have finally planted the styrofoam garden… so the following i have look forward to in a few weeks: some coriander, basil, mint and beetroot…cant wait for some fresh herbs for some upcoming homemade pizzas..
so here’s my compost for my upcoming herb garden. its basically your household food scraps, eggs, vegies etc mixed with a bit of coffee grounds. i always remembered seeing free used coffee grounds in starbucks and was intrigued on the idea… so hopefully they work some wonders as there’s alot of coffee drunken in my house!!
so my first little project is to try and grow an avocado plant from the seed. pretty difficult to get avocados in korea. im not expecting to have fresh avos from the plant, more just a bit of fun growing the plant and documenting the process. heres a link for the instruction im going to try and follow…
